Chaos, Tears And Sorrowful Memories: This Was The Scene At Otieno Kajwang’s Viewing In Kisumu

The body of the late Senator Otieno Kajwang arrived at the Kisumu Airport today with a mammoth of crowd thirsty to pay their last respects and have a glimpse of the ‘Mapambano ‘ politician whose death came as a shock, surprise and unbelievable to many of his friends and foes alike.

It was however so much disappointing to many of his fans who waited for long hours to view his body at the Jomo Kenyatta Grounds. They were turned down from viewing the late Senator’s body. A man they respected and honored. Trouble ensued when locals forced their way demanding to see the body. Police had to push aside the angry crowd who used all possible means to see the Late Homabay’s Senator.

The public viewing which was scheduled to take place at Jomo Kenyatta Sport grounds was canceled by the funeral organizers after they realized it will be so difficult to control the crowd. This led to chaos and serious confrontation between the organizers and the massive crowd. Otieno Kajwang will be buried Friday at his rural home in Waondo, Mbita.
