Lwam Getachew: The Pain Of Having To Bid Farewell To A Loved One

Friends and family of the late Fidel Odinga came in large numbers to attend a requiem mass to show their solidarity and pay their last respect to the son of Raila Amolo Odinga. The requiem mass was held at All Saints Cathedral this afternoon. The event was marked with open emotion and grief as friends and family paid tribute.

Lwam Getachew, the wife to the deceased was overwhelmed as she expressed her deep pain over the great loss of her husband. She struggled to pay her last respects and got help from her sister at some point. The wife has been left with a young son to take care of.

Fidel died Sunday morning through unclear, circumstances and the family is eagerly waiting for the pathologist’s report about the cause of his death after the first one failed to yield substantial information. He is set to be buried on Saturday the 10th at his grandfather’s land in Bondo.
