With rising cases of insecurity, people everywhere in Kenya are seemingly running scared for their lives. Only a few cases coming to the limelight have been that of ‘honorable leaders’, with most being of ordinary citizens. One such person was the just murdered Kabete MP George Muchai who had expressed concerns of the dangers on his life.
After the death of former kabete MP George Muchai, another MP has come into the limelight claiming that his life is in danger. Dagoretti North MP Samba Arati has claimed that his life is in danger over a grabbed piece of land. He went as far as naming a grabbed 7 acre piece of land in a Lavington’s prime area. The MP accused a senator and two of his colleagues as being behind the unfolded plan. In a statement Mr Arati said that he has recorded a statement three times with the Kilimani police station in the past four months without any actions. Coming to the public is a way of informing Kenyans in the event anything happens, Kenyans will not be in the dark.
With the Kenyan government notorious for acting after something happens, Kenyans have to wait a little longer to see if anything will happen this time round.
