After dragging the murder investigation of former Kabete Mp George Muchai for over a month, the director of public prosecutor, Keriako Tobiko has directed that the seven be charged with murder. The seven who have overwhelming evidence against them are believed to be behind the killings along Kenyatta Avenue on February 7th that left dead the MP George muchai, his two body guards Samuel Kimathi Kairikia and Samuel Lekakey Matanata and his driver Stephen Ituu.

This directive came from the DPP’s office after the police requested an extension of time to complete what they dubbed as a complex investigation. Their request was however rejected as the suspects had already been detained for twenty two days. The defendant’s lawyer asked for the release of the suspects on bond, but the principal magistrate heard the plea of Mr. kemo who opposed the application stating that among the suspects, four had been released on bond by a Kibera court and less than three months later they had committed serious offences.

The seven namely Erick Muyera Isabwa alias chairman, Mr. Raphael Kimani alias Butcher, Mustafa Kimani alsia Musto, Stephen Asitiva Lipapo alias ckokori, Jane wanjiru kimani alias Shiro, Margret Njeri alias Waciuri and simon wambugu Gichamba are believed to be hardcore criminals who were on the rampage and have no clear value for life. Nonetheless with the case still ongoing, it’s a matter of time before the families of the victims get justice for their loved ones.
