Four armed robbers made their way into Kasarani MP, Njoroge Chege’s compound on Thursday morning at around 3 am. The MP believes the robbers had been trailing him as he drove to his home. The gang pretended to be Mr Chege’s guests and they registered their names before gaining entry into the compound. They caught a guard’s attention as they tried to gain entry into the Mp’s car. Unfortunately, the guard sustained a bullet wound as he tried to stop them.
According to CID chief Ireri Kamande, the robbers are still at large and the legislator’s car, a Mitsubishi Pajero hasn’t been recovered. Police are investigating the possibility that the gang might have been after a number of documents that were in the MPs car. This uncanny incident comes days after Korogocho ward representative Maxwell Ochieng Ochar was shot and seriously injured by unknown assailants on a motorcycle.
