Between 3,000 and 12,000 Kenyans lose their lives in tragic road accidents each year. Unfortunately the deaths not only include those in the vehicles but, pedestrians, motorcyclists, and cyclists. Public road transport has claimed more lives than any other form of transport. Today, the head of ICT at the Postal Corporation of Kenya died in an early morning road accident. Mr Victor Vincent Shirao, died on the spot in the accident that occurred on Mombasa road close to Cabanas.
Embakasi traffic boss Isaac Sang was at the scene and confirmed the incident. Vincent Shirao was reportedly headed to Mlolongo form the city center at around 5.30 am when his car lost control and rammed into a trailer. He was the only one in the car. His body has currently been moved to the Lee Funeral Home.
