Nothing seems to scare Nairobi residents more than too much rainfall. Being in the city at this time of the year comes with a number of challenges. As the nation lives with fear of terror attacks Mother Nature has brought much fear to city dwellers. Most of the roads within the CBD are impassable because of the floods following the heavy rains that seem to last for several months. In fact, a number of people have died in the recent past with scores sustaining injuries.
Some of the most affected areas include the T Mall and its surrounding areas especially at the Shell Petrol station. The other dangerous areas are City mortuary, outside Serena hotel, Kileleshwa, Globe, Bunyala road and valley road round about. People living in slum areas are among the most unfortunate groups because they have no means of dealing with the situation now that they cannot afford most basic neccesities.
