Here Is The Truth Behind The “Mollis I Sullenda’’ Audio And Why You Should Think Twice About Being A Supporter

The #Trend host Larry Madowo had his thoughts on the randy ‘Mollis’ audio clip that got Kenyans talking last week. The audio is a recording of a man catching strokes with a lady who is his imagined acquaintance. For the duration of the audio, the lady is heard pleading with Mollis to take a break as she was tired, ‘nimeshoka’ and ‘I sullenda’ to cue him that she had had enough of the act, but the man ignored the pleas leading to a growing number of Kenyans classifying that as rape.

And it took little time for that audio to strike gold for someone in business with Zuku already riding on the wave of the recording’s popularity to corrupt the audio for its advertising. In his Front Row column Larry sampled contrasting opinions of blogger Daniel Ominde and a Facebook user Jay Okeyo-Neal. The man condemns the act as rape and the latter, who is a woman, sarcastically identifies with the ‘plight of the Kenyan man’ in a roundabout support of the Mollis audio.

Larry uncompromisingly dealt with those in support of the saucy recording calling them ‘idiots’ for supporting rape and misogyny. This same matter was a subject of discussion on KTN on Saturday attracting severe backlash from the public who thought the station had stooped too low giving airtime to such an issue.
