The Ugandan president, Yuweri Kaguta Museveni is one of the leaders who will never cease to amaze the world. Just a few weeks ago, the long serving president shocked many citizens when he alleged that he was not aware that Uganda Cranes was the country’s national team. Today he hits the headlines not because of a speech about the ongoing sugar deal with the Kenyan President but because of what he did at a fundraiser for the church. What interested many was not how much Museveni contributed but his dressing which left people wondering whether he was going to inspect a guard of honor or attending a death anniversary of Idi Amin Dada.
Anyway let us ignore his ‘trendy and fashionable’ lifestyle because this not the first time to see the vocal charismatic and bold president wearing military clothing to different events. Going back to the fundraising, Museveni assisted the Catholic Church in contribution over Ksh 40million that will help in constructing the Munyonyo and Namugongo shrines that the pope is likely to visit when he comes over late this year.
