Former Justice Minister Martha Karua has given Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria 24 hours to apologise for the remarks he made linking her to fixing the Deputy President William Ruto. She took exception to the legislator’s utterances threatening to sue him. In the same vein, she called out Deputy President telling him to stop using ‘emissaries.’ Ruto and Karua have been bitter political rivals since the disputed 2007 general elections which led to the post-election violence which claimed 1300 lives in which the DP is accused of crimes against humanity. Karua alluded to DP Ruto using Moses Kuria to accuse her of procuring witnesses. She told the DP to address her in person and show evidence of procuring witnesses.
Karua also took issue with her name being mentioned at the ICC denying that she knew anything to do with the Deputy President’s woes. In a swift rejoinder, Kuria, urged Karua to hasten her steps in suing him saying he was ready for battle.
