A dispute involving an MP and a well-known pastor nearly turned tragic. Mwingi Central MP Joe Mutambo and Helicopter Ministries Bishop Wahome were at loggerheads over a lorry which the clergyman claims the MP hired from him two months ago but has refused to return. The legislator, however, denied what Wahome had to say stating that the pastor sold him the lorry and has refused to give him documents.
Their dispute involved the police who went to the MP’s office with the pastor in tow where their spat turned violent. Hon. Mutambo drew his gun at the pastor and the two accompanying police officers. Earlier on, the lawmaker had ordered his bodyguard to arrest the controversial clergyman. Wahome accused the MP of painting his lorry in a garage after hiring it to ferry goods from Denholm to Lang’ata.
It is still unclear who is telling the truth in this scenario with police yet to establish the truth of the matter.
