This Is What Really Happened To The Girl Who Many Had Assumed Had Died From An Earphone Electrocution

During his daughter’s funeral on Friday, Mr. Kiplimo Rugut who is a secretary in the sports ministry took the chance to clear the air about the cause of the death. According to him, his daughter died from heart failure. He condemned those who took to the social media platform claiming Leslie Chepkoech died from earphone electrocution.

Mr. Rugut, who is also a former NYS Director, while at his home in Lessos in Nandi county urged the social media rumor mongers to verify some rumors before spreading them on the platform. He said that they should have at least consulted the family first. Going on further, he said that such rumors are not good and may lead to double tragedy.

However, Mr. Limo, cousin to the late Leslie Chepkoech told a gathering during a fundraising at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi that Leslie had earphones on when she was found dead. He claimed that that was not the cause of her death despite being connected to the charger as it was also raining.

Moreover, both Mr. Rugut and Limo explained the outcome of the post-mortem that indicated no signs of struggle. They set the grounds clear that the Nairobi University Law student did not die from electrocution but rather heart failure as the autopsy results showed.
