Kenyans on Twitter expressed their discontentment over Kabogo’s hate speech and tribal negative remarks that were allegedly directed to CORD leader Raila Odinga. Kabogo made the negative remarks during a public meeting in Thika town while still attacking Machakos senator, Johnstone Muthama.
They claim that Kabogo should respect leaders of the opposition party and avoid use of hate speech which could easily corrupt the minds of many Kenyans as they focus on the upcoming general elections in 2017. Mixing both Kikuyu and Swahili dialect, the Kiambu Governor used the term ‘foreskin’ severally, a term that many supporters of Raila feel was directed to him.
Kenyans want Kabogo arrested over his negative harsh terms that could jeopardize the lives of many Kenyans across the political divide. In the recent past Kenyan politicians have been caught on camera expressing their rivalry and using what could be viewed as hate speech remarks. Muthama, Aladwa and Moses Kuria have been interrogated by police following their hate speech claims in the recent times.
