The Kenyan government cannot afford to let a few individuals to walk away with Ksh. 791m when millions of people are living in abject poverty. This was clear when Anti-corruption Detectives raided the luxurious home of the former Devolution CS, Anne Waiguru. After the release of a parliamentary report that showed misappropriation of funds through unexplainable deals at the National Youth Service NYS, the jubilee government is under pressure to tell Kenyans what happened.
Detectives and police raided Waiguru’s residence in Waiguru Kihigo, Kitusuru and the former Devolution principal secretary Peter Mangiti home in Karen, Mokoiyet Road. Besides the two, the detectives also led their way into Adan Harakhe’s residence in Nasra Estate and Mr Githinji who lives in Riverside Lane among other eleven officials. Ahmedinassir Abdullahi, Waiguru’s lawyer confirmed the incidences as he headed there to find out what they were after. This is not the first time to hear about government officers” looting” millions and none of them goes to jail.
