Credit should be given where credit is due. On Monday police officers foiled a terrorist attack by suspected Al Shabaab militants in Nyali. During the operation the officers recovered two rifles and surprisingly over two hundred rounds of ammunition. The arms were probably going to be used to conduct a terror attack at a mall within the city. Unfortunately, the suspects probably got wind of what was happening and managed to escape.
According to the police officers who were involved in the operation the suspects believed to have been harboring the arms are Mahmoud Salim Mohamed of ID No. 30750990 and Hussein Omar Said of ID No. 30229658.

Hussein Omar has been on the police radar for quite some time now and is among the most wanted criminals in Kenya. He is suspected to have played a pivotal role in the 2014 Mpeketoni attack that led to the loss of 60 innocent lives. Currently security officers are trying to flush out Al Shabaab militants from Boni Forest, Pandanguo, Bothei, Pangani and Witu.
