After many preachers have been exposed as businessmen, sucking their faithfuls, it seems like gospel artists have decided to follow suit. Faith Kithele a well-known gospel artist, was yesterday charged with stealing SH 28 million from the county government of Kitui. Faith Kithele who is wife to environment executive George Mulatya together with co-accused Alex Kioko, were brought forward to face principal magistrate Esther Boke where they both denied the charges.
Joseph Muinde their lawyer however was keener on the number of journalists present, as a written notice to cover the cases had not been presented. Joseph went on and told journalist to report on facts and refrain from reporting rumors, infringing on clients rights in the process.
They were both released on a bond of 4 million each with a surety of 4 million, after the bond plea presented to Prosecutor Zacharia Yegon was accepted. The case will continue on Monday.
