This Is The Real Reason Why Senator Moses Wetang’ula Was Allegedly Battered By His Wife

Wetang’ula seems to have a constant companion named trouble as both his political and home fronts are plagued by unending strife. Barely a month after catching a break in his political endeavors after the IEBC decided not to expunge his name from the voter’s register which could have cost him his senatorial seat a second time, the Cord co-principal and Bungoma Senator is in the headlines again but this time for marital troubles. The senator filed a case with the Lang’ata Police Station on February 21 at 6.30 pm accusing his wife of assaulting him after he allegedly confronted her over infidelity. Wetang’ula apparently sustained injuries on the head, chest, left hand and leg and underwent treatment at Karen Hospital and then discharged.

However, the twist in the story is that Ann Wetang’ula, the Senator’s wife, also filed a case against her husband, seven hours prior to the Senator going to the police. She accused Wetang’ula of battery stating that she had also sustained injuries on her person for which she sought treatment at the Karen Hospital as well. Both cases now lie with the Karen Police Station who have jurisdiction as the incident happened in Karen where the couple lives.
