This comes after Collins Toroitich Moi, his grandson was arrested and charged at the Nakuru Court on the Wednesday. The accused was taken to court for allegedly stealing two mobile phones worth Ksh.19, 000.

It is claimed that Collins stole the two gadgets not from a stranger but his daughter, May Chelimo and a close friend who was identified as Betty Chebet on July 17. Ochang’ Ajigo, Moi’s lawyer challenged the prosecution team for their failure to arraign him within 48 hours as the Kenyan Law prescribes. According to the lawyer, he was handcuffed on Monday during working hours only to be presented before the court today. He added that the Toroitich had called his daughter at a hotel for lunch and she came with a friend. While having their meal, he decided to take the phones so that they could interact. After the meal, none of them remembered the phones until they alighted from the taxi. Toroitich said he was ready to pay for the mobile phones.
