After being sentenced to 18 months in prison, Koffi Olomide is a free man. This was a day later after his sentencing by a judge. He was released from prison on Thursday under unclear circumstances. Despite public outcry over his conduct, it seems the bad boy of Kinshasa is going to remain free.
Following the ugly incident at the JKIA, Koffi Olomide had a series of mishaps that threatened to seriously dent his long career. He was arrested by the Kenyan authorities and later deported back to Congo where a section of his fans wanted nothing more than see him behind the bars of a cold jail cell. Some of his shows were cancelled and promoters had to figure out how they were going to recover their huge losses.
At his home on Saturday Koffi shared a picture of his family. Along with the post he shared a message stating how touched and grateful he was for the support given to him by his fans. He also seemed remorseful for all the craziness that had shook his world.
