Carjackers are becoming smarter by the day and have adopted a new way to get their hands on other’s hard-earned property. They have infiltrated even the leafy suburbs believed to be the safest to live in. Among the latest victims are Peter Kenneth’s wife and Uhuru’s nephew and his family.
The two live in Kyuna Estate and were carjacked on the same weekend by thugs employing tricky means of getting to them.
On the fateful day, Mrs. Ann Wanjiru Kenneth drove home to find new faces waiting for her as watchmen at the estates gate. These would swiftly take control over her vehicle with a gun aimed at her. They took her to a forest in Ndumbuini where they robbed her of all her valuables but left her without any harm. Her car has since been traced to Uganda.
On the other hand, President Uhuru’s nephew Njoroge Muigai were carjacked from the same estate and driven to a forest in King’eero. He was in the company of his wife and daughter when the incident happened. Their car is yet to be traced.
A manhunt set up by the police has proved futile as at yet.
