It was a somber Sunday morning in Ngwata estate, Mlolongo after residents woke up to the news of the stabbing of a Bodaboda operator. According to sources, the man was stabbed by his 15-year old wife before he bled to death. Alice Muthoni, as she was later identified, stabbed her 28-year old husband Kamau Njoroge with a kitchen knife under unclear circumstances. The Area chief David Kilonzo, who confirmed the incident, said the deceased colleagues wanted to lynch the pregnant killer woman but she quickly locked herself in the house.
In an exclusive interview with Nairobi News Athi River OCPD Sharma Wario said that the Bodaboda operator had been living with the form two drop out as his wife. “Kamau came to the house at around 5pm and was shortly after heard screaming for help,” he said. The OCPD said that the man’s body was found in a pool of blood on the floor with a knife stuck deep into his chest by the neighbors. “When we got to the scene, angry bodaboda operators had already surrounded the house where the wife had locked herself inside and were threatening to beat her up. My officers were forced to use force to save the lady,” added Wario. The girl is being held at Mlolongo police station as investigations are underway. The man’s body was taken to Machakos Level 5 Hospital.
