Ringtone is outraged by the stories that have been circulating about him in the media. Recently, word got out that he had been kicked out of his luxurious house in Karen, due to being unable to pay for his rent. According to his landlord’s lawyers the Gospel artist had not paid 2 months of rent and has accrued a Ksh. 400,000 debt.
In response to the media attention, Ringtone put up an Instagram post in which he demanded that his name be accorded respect, saying he “deserves better from the media”. He also claimed that the allegations were false.
His full Instagram post was as follows:
“I HAVE PAID SCHOOL FEES FOR PEOPLE I AM NOT RELATED TO. I HAVE HELPED THE SICK AND THE NEEDY. I HAVE HELPED UPCOMING MUSICIANS INCLUDING BAHATI, SOC, BENACHI, KIZOB, ETC. I HAVE INSPIRED MILLIONS IN SCHOOL AND THROUGH MY MUSIC. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, I DESERVE BETTER FROM THE MEDIA. #tendamwema NENDA ZAKO”
We wait to see how Ringtone’s story unfolds.
