Isaac Ruto’s Daughter, Ms Emmy Chepng’etich Dies

On a very sad note, the daughter of Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto, Ms Emmy Chepng’etich Ruto died on Monday morning. She had been admitted at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi on Saturday following a short illness. She was 25 at the time of her death. Ms Ruto was currently employed at a geothermal company in Nakuru.

For those who didn’t know this, she was also the captain of the Kenya women’s cricket team from 2008. She lead the cricket team to the 2012 and 2010 world cup qualifiers in Dares-Salaam and Nairobi respectively. Kenya has lost a great sports woman but we hope her legacy lives on forever.
