Teachers all over the country are very upset with the government intelligence. This is after they supposedly leaked Wilson Sossion; KNUT secretary general’s pay slip to the media. The leaked pay slip is very ironical. It shows that Wilson Sossion is paid a monthly salary of 940, 000. This is a very generous pay compared to what the members of the union are paid. According to sources, the union members barely make even 20% of what Wilson Sossion makes. The teachers were however not surprised at what the secretary general earned. According to the union’s leadership, they understand why the secretary general earns that much and people should understand that the strike is about teacher’s salary and nothing else.

Wilson session in his attempt to support the teachers has urged parents not to take their students to school. However, parents are being advised by a blogger by the name Mugo Wa Wairimu that that is not a right move since Wilson Sossion’s children are all in school.
